Corporate Entrepreneurship at Public Service Sector: Measurement and The Influence toward Government Performance (Case Study of BPPT at Bandung City and Regency)

Corporate Entrepreneurship (CE) is an important concept to reform within bureaucracy that had been carried out in order to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of government performance in providing excellent services to the society. The researches in the context of public service of Indonesia have not yet evaluate the government performance in a comprehensive way. The previous researches concerned the entrepreneurial activity in public service sector connected with their outcomes was limited. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This study examined the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial leadership on job satisfaction and society satisfaction. The instrument used to measure Corporate Entrepreneurship is Entrepreneurial Orientation Survey (EOS) and Entrepreneurial Leadership Questionnaire (ELQ) that was developed by Thornberry (2006). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The methods used to understand the phenomenon is by doing the survey of 204 respondents who work for Public Service Sector within Badan Pelayanan Perizinan Terpadu (BPPT) at Bandung City and Regency. Path Analysis is used to test the relationship of entrepreneurial orientation, entrepreneurial leadership on job satisfaction and society satisfaction. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between entrepreneurial orientation, entrepreneurial leadership on job satisfaction and society satisfaction. It means that the higher of entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial leadership then the higher of government performance, evaluated from job satisfaction and society satisfaction. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> According to EOS and ELQ results, there was a significant difference in characteristics between BPPT at Bandung City and Regency, evaluated from entrepreneurial orientation, entrepreneurial leadership, job satisfaction and society satisfaction.
