It is always changing everytime due to the dynamic nature of the ocean that can be caused by steric factors (the thermal expansion and variations of sea water salinity)and eustatic factors (the winds that generate currents in the oceans, the melting of polar ice, and also the input of water from the atmosphere and land). This SST changes has relation with the phenomenon of climate change that occurred in the last few decades. This Final Task is undertake the identification and also analysis of SST changing in Indonesian waters and its relations with climate change by using altimetry satellite data. To see the relationship between changes in SST to climate change, it use the precipitation intensity for represent the phenomenon of climate change in the same time interval with satellite altimetry data that is used. Altimetry satellite data that used is Sea Level Anomaly (SLA) that has been corrected from various sources of error. The SLA data and precipitation data will be averaged per cycle and at each selected observation zone and also will be formed its time series. Based on that time series, it could be seen the value of the linear trends that shows the tendency of both data changes. Analysis of SST changes and precipitation intensity changes can be made from the value of the linear trend. The relation of both data could be determined from thevalue of the correlation coefficient matrix between these two data. text |
