Summary: | I try to present a new application of modern filtering techniques to ground-penetrating radar (GPR) data processing for coherent noise attenuation. I create the synthetic data example to simulate problems such as system ringing and surface scattering, which are common in real cases. I also try our simulation into real data, so that we can analyzed the result of this filter. The result confirm that Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT)-1D is effective in removing system ringing noise from GPR images but for surface scattering noise our program need a little bit modification so that this program can analyzed the noise. Meanwhile, the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT)-2D filter gives unsatisfied result because this filter make radargram image become blurring in some part of the radargram. <br />
