Summary:GMF AeroAsia as a MRO has to provide short turn around time (TAT) maintenance services. Nevertheless, a TAT C-check average comparison between GMF and a benchmark MRO shows that GMF C-check takes 25 days while the benchmark MRO takes 10 days. Therefore, the business process of the maintenance planning needs to be evaluated. The first step of the evaluation is describing the current maintenance planning process to identify the problems. Based on the identified problems, necessary data is collected and analyzed to define the required improvements. A new business process is then developed and evaluated. The implementation of the new maintenance planning process will overcome the material delay problems by perform a preliminary inspection. It is also recommended that supervisors must have a full authority in handling non-routine maintenance works in order to shorten the process. The implementation of the new business process of maintenance planning will result in a 5 days shorter TAT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> which is equivalent to Rp.55 Billion annual savings for a 46 B737-800 aircraft fleet.
