This device is widely used in industry as well as laboratory. However, the data acquisition devices mostly found in the market do not have a signal conditioning feature. Data acquisition device with signal conditioning feature are usually very expensive. Therefore, signal conditioning devices are separated from the data acquisition. Herman (2010) had developed the eight-channel signal conditioning device using a microcontroller-based control system. However, the signal conditioning device that had been developed has some limitations. In this study, improvements to the signal conditioning developed by Herman (2010) is performed. The improvements are done by adding new features such as RMS, integrator, and signal conditioning circuits for proximity probes in the form low pass filter and AC coupling. The signal conditioning device that was designed consists of six main parts: pre-conditioning circuit, anti-aliasing filter circuit, amplifier circuit, signal conditioning for proximity sensor, an integrator circuit, and RMS circuit. This device is controlled using a manual on-off switch. Experiments of the circuit are carried out by using a signal generator and the vibration sensor. Based on the results of the experiment, it can be concluded that the addition of RMS, integrators, and signal conditioning circuits for proximity probes have performed well. Thus, signal conditioning device that was designed is expected to be used for vibration measurement. text
