Description
Summary:Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) is a dangerous disease in which a mortality percentage of sufferers are quite high. The disease is caused by genetic disorder that occurs during the chromosome division process of white blood cells. In the process, CML causes the immune system response againsts the disease; This stimulates the interaction between cancer cells with anti-cancer cells, namely T-cells. This interaction is characterized by the ability of T-cells to death, but also it can be stimulated to proliferate and produce new T-cells. T-cells proliferation may take a few moments after the interaction. To represent the interaction between leukemic cells with T-cells, we can construct a mathematical model which uses Delay Differential Equations (DDE). Delay time which is used in the

model represents T-cells division process after stimulation by interaction with cancer cells. In addition, we also review the effect of Imatinib drug to the rate of cancer cells and T-cells concentration. When Imatinib is not given, the concentration of cancer cells will grow very quickly. However, when Imatinib is given, the cancer cells concentration will decrease drastically even only for a short period.
