As a reference, diesel engine made by Anand Enterprise, India is utilized. <br />

For flywheel design, we need engine output torque vs crank angle. This curve is derived from the indicator (P-V) diagram. Since the reference engine is not available, in this research work, we perform a simulation of the indicator diagram based on geometrical data from Anand Enterprise. For the adiabatic comprasion and extension, ideal gas relationship is assumed. Once the torque curve is obtained, the mass moment of inersia is calculated base on nominal speed of 600 rpm and speed fluctuation of 10. Calculation yields that the flywheel mass moment inertia is equal to 7,8 kg.m2. <br />

In addition to the above, this final year project also discuss manufacturing process planing. We hope that this document may contribute to the manufacturing of Lister diesel engine in the main research. |
