In fact there is a buffer area to be a temporary storage area before the welding parts’s being processed. If the buffer area is eliminated, then there will be merit and demerit realized. <br /> <br /> <br /> Welding buffer area is an area that serves as a drop area for suppliers (vendors) and as a place of temporary storage (buffer) before the welding parts were dropped at the welding production lines. The trading company as a customer has to pay all the welding parts that have been sent to welding buffer area in vehicle assembly plant. Total stock of welding parts which are in the buffer area is often fluctuate. This includes one of the factors that should be eliminated in the implementation of Just-In-Time production system. <br /> <br /> <br /> The analysis is done based on following parameters : operating cost, inventory cost, area, the distance of transportation, safety factors, and quality of welding parts. The final result is obtained if the welding buffer area were eliminated, it is necessary to do re-scheduling. The new schedule is using pull system, in which the work orders are always given by the next process. text
