Summary: | The beverage cooling device using a thermoelectric module, which was first designed by Annisaa the prototype 0, and then developed by Adrianus the prototype I, with the target of cooling a 250 ml beverage can down to 15oC in 30 minutes. The design of prototype I still has some shortcomings in terms of the manufacturing process and construction. Therefore, the prototype is evaluated in this final assignment as the basis for improving the design and the selection of appropriate production processes in order to improve the performance of the cooling device. The prototype I was able to cool the beverage to 15oC in 65 minutes. The prototype I yields better results than the prototype 0. Simple testing was performed on prototype II to determine its performance. Test results indicate that the device reaches steady-state temperature of 18oC in 50 minutes, this suggests that the prototype II has not reached the intended target before. |
