To implement this technique, the activity needs a data acquisition device which can carry out vibration analysis. As a part of this issue, this final project is aimed to develop a LabVIEW 8.5 based software dedicated for NI USB-4432 hardware capable to do a synchronous-time averaging as well as non-periodic signal analysis. <br /> <br /> <br /> Synchronous-time averaging is one of averaging method which is devoted for time domain analysis; this method is intended to minimize the noise level. In addition, non-periodic signal analysis is a method to evaluate the non periodic signals. The non periodic signal analysis is required to detect machine fault in the early stage. <br /> <br /> <br /> Synchronous time averaging and non periodic signal analysis developed in this software, is tested for simulated signal, unbalance vibration signal and gear vibration signal. In the first test, an MSA HP 3566A spectrum analyzer is used as a reference for producing and measuring simulated signal. Furthermore, a DAQPAD 1200 data acquisition system is used as a reference to evaluate the software while analyzing the vibration signals of an unbalance rotor as well as a gear fault setup. It can be concluded from the experiments that synchronous-time averaging and non periodic signal analysis developed in this final project are working well. text |
