Summary:Business always constantly evolves, it also includes in book industry. Growth in the book industry is one type of evolving. The growth of the business in this industry is almost 3 times greater since the Indonesian economic crisis. It has attracted more players to enter into the industry. <br /> <br /> <br /> Indhill Co (IHC) is a company in the publishing sector, established in 1984. It produces text books in the field of Law and there are some books on Economics. IHC has been in the industr for 20 years but since it’s establishment untill now the productivity level hasn’t increased. It has still a target of one title per month. Unlike its industrial growth, IHC has not been able to gain any profit from it. Thus, it is important for this company to develop a new strategy to increase profitability and growth of the company. <br /> <br /> <br /> The method used in this final project starts by environment scanning, external and internal scanning. External scanning using PEST and Porter’s Five Force; and internal analysis of the company’s internal condition Then it is determined the strategic positioning using Value Discipline Triad and strategy formulation using TOWS Matrix. Finally, strategy implementation using Balanced Scorecard. <br /> <br /> <br /> The outcome of the strategic position that the company can take is product leadership. To achieve product leadership it has been generated 9 strategies. These 9 strategies are then implemented into the strategy map. The outcome from the strategy map are strategic initiatives. The strategic initiatives can be implemented by strengthening the company’s condition, personnel improvement, partnerships, and constantly observe the publishing industry.
