Summary:ABSTRACT: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Cawang Priok Bridge was built in 1980 with the code in that year of construction. There were several big earthquakes in Indonesia after 20 years of the bridge construction. Due to some big earthquakes and due to the development of knowledge, there are some changes in this recent code compare to the code in 1980. In this thesis, will be discussed about pier and pierhead capacity in Cawang Priok bridge due to earthquake loading and live load loading according to this recent code. By using SAP 2000 and Response 2000 program, it is known that pier, pierhead, and anchor have enough capacity to handle earthquake and live load. Detailing checking due to shear, moment, and axial in pier and pierhead structure shows that the existing reinforcement is enough according to the code. But, to prevent large deformation at pier due to earthquake loading, that may cause span unseating, it is needed to put stopper.
