Summary: | Land subsidence phenomenon usually occurs in areas that have a high urban development, such as Jakarta. Monitoring of land subsidence phenomenon can be done by utilizing the geodetic method such as levelling survey, GPS survey, micro-gravity survey, and Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR). Information about land subsidence can be used as policy formulation and decision-making on various matters relating to the Earth issues and other matters if it is stored and used properly. Spatial data and other information of land subsidence in Jakarta do not yet have a data management system. Designing database models for land subsidence phenomenon consists of three stages: conceptual, logical, and physical database designs. Results of the database design are stored in the PostgreSQL/PostGIS software as Database Management System. GeoServer software is used as a web-mapping server that acts as a gateway to the collection of geospatial data in the form of files, database, or other services which are translated into a web service protocols such as Web Map Service (WMS), Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Coverage Service (WCS), and others. Although the stored data are not completed yet, this geographical information system of land subsidence can still be built because there ia already the database that manipulate how the data can be stored later. Development of a spatial database that is displayed in a web-based geographic information system application is expected to help in organizing the data and facilitate the accessing and organizing spatial data of land subsidence phenomenon in the Jakarta area. |
