Summary:Carbonate rock have different characters with sandstone, so the process of characterizing the hydrocarbon reservoir in carbonate rock need different parameters. In reservoir characterization process, AVO as pre-inversion analysis have an important role on how the rock physics and fluid parameters affects the model, so modeled sinthetic seismogram need to be as as similar as the real seismic. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In this research we try to create a model of AVO synthetic. Based on the modelling result, the carbonate rocks AVO class refers to AVO Class I, and the AVO response of oil saturated Porous Carbonate Rock is lower compared to the AVO response of Tight Carbonate Rock.
