vehicles .This mass destruction is caused by a component failure called injection pump. Failure analysis is conducted to determine the cause of the failure of this pump. It found a deposit on the part between the bearing with the shaft of the injection pump and this problem can be prevented by adding antioxidation additive in fuel. Because the deposits occurs in the gap between the shaft and bearing, then we predict that the rotation will be a <br />

decrease so that will decrease pump performance. Validation done by testing the performance of the fuel pump is implemented to see the decrease rotation speed phenomenon. <br />

From the experiments, known that the rotation at the fuel pump decrease. Thus damage to the injection pump was caused by the formation of deposits on the injection pump shaft <br />
<br />
<br />
bearing. Thr adding rate of antioxidation additive which decrease corrosion and gum forming give good effect, proven can give better for maintain injection pump performance. |
