A policy of prevention of work accidents is expected to run well. In order for these policies to succeed, the policy should be easily understood and implemented by all parties involved in construction projects. In addition, the policy must be improved to suit the conditions on the ground to prevent possible accidents maximally. <br /> <br /> <br /> Accidents are an important part to note in the implementation of construction projects. To be able to reduce or eliminate the occurrence of accidents is necessary to find out what caused the accident in a construction project. But the problem is that there has been no overview of the root problems that actually cause accidents. <br /> <br /> <br /> In planning and improve accident prevention systems, needed a method to analyze the causes that could possibly arise. Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is one of an analytical method that aims to prevent the occurrence of policy failure in <br /> <br /> <br /> preventing accidents, and also provides a technique to determine the cause of the incident. In practice, the FTA uses a graphical model that displays the various combinations of factors causing the occurrence of work accidents referred to as the top event. <br /> <br /> <br /> In an effort to implement the FTA in the search for the causes of accidents in Indonesia, found 21 work accident causes (basic events) in construction projects in Indonesia. Basic events can cause accidents alone or in combination. <br /> <br /> <br /> From the analysis using the FTA, found that in general the work accident which occurred mainly caused by human factors. While typically the dominant workplace accidents caused by careless workers in the work. <br /> <br /> <br /> However, the implementation of the FTA is not easy to do because it takes quite a lot of data related to the work accident to obtain a picture or model of the FTA on the causes of construction accidents in construction projects are good and clear. <br /> <br /> <br /> To be able to obtain enough data required disclosure of the projects reviewed for solutions to help find the cause of accidents can be found. In addition, analysis of the FTA construction in quantitative models require a lot of data for calculation of the estimate of the likelihood of workplace accidents can be close to actual conditions.
