Summary: | in this final project will be developing a portable solar water heater. Preliminary design is intended as a initial design is expected to be realized. Production process of a portable solar water heater is divided into two ways. Fundamental differences of the production process is in the joining process where the first process of grafting by using the glue and the second process using a press tool plastic. In addition, the experiment of integrated solar water heater flat plate type, as a basic to comparison with and portable solar water heater. In this final project was also developed simulation program to see changes in the average temperature at time intervals of 10 minutes and eficiency to know the performance of a portable solar water heater. This simulation program created using Visual Basic programming language that the results displayed on microsoft excel. Based on testing performed, the average temperature is obtained which is the approximate temperature of the output a portable solar water heater at 42.7 oC in the afternoon. These temperature values are considered good enough because it only has a difference of 1-3 oC compared with integrated solar water heating flat plate type.rate of heat loss that occurs on a portable solar water heater is 0.89 oC /hour, so the water is still comfortable to use untill the night. Usage valuewhich only require funds amounting to Rp. 628.19/day shows the portable solar water heater is quiteeconomical. This program which has an average error for 9.03% are considered quite valid. |
