Description
Summary:Magnetotelluric is one of geophysical exploration methods which used to determine resistivity value of earth subsurface. Forward modeling of two dimensional resistivity structure applied by using finite element method which is

derived from general variational principle. Magnetotelluric modeling was applied to transverse electric (TE) modes. From these processes we obtain two dimensional resistivity model structure and the magnetotelluric responses in form of apparent resistivity and phase impedance. These results also applied to MT data of Sumatera fault (Aceh Region).
