Description
Summary:In doing business every company wishes efficient production processes and high productivity. PT Selamat Prama Arta, as one of the tea sorters company that has aged nearly 36 years, has business issues of a high level of overtime that turned into a regular activity.

This business issue lead to the problem of poorly controlled work process which, after further research, requires an evaluation process and improvement of its business process especially in its process production. This activity was unable to be run by the management because so far the company doesn't have the right tools to do the process. Departing from the problem's root cause, research was focused more on analyzing the company's business process by creating a process model so repair can be done around production area. Stages of the research done by creating a process model based on the standard Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) which starts from the arrival of raw materials until the process of packing goods. Focus of research then narrowed into the production process which involves the production department, Quality Control department, and warehouse areas. Results of analysis performed by using statistical software ProcessTM iGrafx® 2007 and compared with theoritical calculations. Based on the results of comparative analysis between current and alternative process model, corrective measures will be arranged which later led to the recommendation of replacing old machines with a more recent type, plant layout and QC process rehabilitation. The implementation process which costs Rp. 104.725.000,- will benefit on output increase from sifting process by 21.34% and increment in the QC and warehouse department.
