As technology develop, activity in the office and various function related to Office management can be done virtually using various communication device available. This idea is a basic concept of Digital Office, where an office is no longer limited with particular physical place, but rather in terms of its function in an organization. In other hand, simplicity, reliability and also support from all device and network od cellular telephone made SMS (Short Message Service) has potential as media for accessing the office in simple and easy way. Based on reasons above, the role of SMS in concept of Digital Office cannot be neglected. SMS is a basic media to fullfill the need of access to the Digital office. Because of that, the necessity to design & implement such system is exist. The system will have main function to handle acces to digital office through SMS. Also, system will fullfill the necessity to provide notification dand communication. The system that will be designed can be viewed as a modulat system that has ability to be costumizable. In this final project, will be designed & inmplemented a prototype of SMS Messaging Center as subsystem in Digital office that handle SMS. This system consist of three part, SMS gatway, internal database and Text messaging Application. This application is made using Java langguage wuth Netbeans 6.5 Compiler, Gammu version 1.21.90 as SMS Gateway and MySQL database as internal database to store the message.
