Description
Summary:The demand for crude oil and natural gas as primary energie sources has been increased rapidly. Therefore, exploration of crude oil and natural gas is done in offshore. Offshore pipeline is used to transport the oil and natural gas from offshore to other facilities in land. Offshore pipeline is located in offshore where there are many parameters such as wave and current that make the load is bigger than onshore pipeline. Thus, there are more design aspect that must reviewed in offshore pipeline.

This final project will conduct three design aspects of offshore pipeline design: pipe sizing, wall thickness, and on-bottom stability analysis. Hydraulic analysis will refer to several design criteria.such as for wall thickness analysis is based on ASME B31.4 and DNV-OS-F101 and for on-bottom stability analysis is based on DNV-RP-F109. In this project, offshore pipeline is used for transmitting aviation fuel and LOMC from tank to storage tank or vice cersa for Balongan refinery unit VI.

The result that obtained from the hydraulic and wall thickness analysis show that the required diameter is 24 inch and 17,44 mm for thickness or schedule 40.From on-bottom stability analysis, there is required additional 66 mm thickness of concrete coating to qualify all the requirement. Then the results give the specification of the pipe that will be used.
