| Summary: | Outer space is a topic that is often difficult to explain, because it involves three dimensional objects. belajAR (buku jelajah luar angkasa dengan Augmented Reality / outer space exploring book with a Augmented Reality) is an encyclopedia type book with the theme of outer space (especially the solar system) by using technological applications of Augmented Reality (AR). belajAR present as a knowledge media alternative of conventional books that already exist. belajAR was developed to improve understanding of the conditions of outer space. The goal of this research is to create original design (prelimenary design) in the form of a book that is packed with technology demonstration of Augmented Reality. Augmented Reality technology allow visualization of three-dimensional (3D) in the book. So this book is expected to attract readers, helping improve readers understanding of the topics covered, reading is not quickly get bored, and readers have more experience. In this research, the development of the belajAR system that uses the book webcam, and computer equipment. Readers of the book as a user trying belajAR and share their experiences through a questionnaire. User groups that investigated are in the age range 18 up to 24 years for both males and females. Based on test results indicate that belajar is easy to use, provides better visual information than conventional books, attractive, enjoyable, allowing readers to interact with the book better, help improve understanding of the reader, not quickly get bored, and have more experience. |
