Description
Summary:Gasoline evaporation at gas stations in Indonesia has brought a lot of problems such as, environmental damage, fire problem, health problem, and economical loss. One way to solve these problems is by developing vent processor

using membrane technology which can separate gasoline vapor with air. Therefore, the gasoline vapor can be saved and the clean air can be released to the atmosphere. The methodology which are used to develop this vent processor’s

prototype are including study about evaporation dynamics at gas stations, vapor recovery system and membrane technology. Membrane performance test is done to select membrane’s material which will be used in the prototype. The final steps are designing prototype’s components, producing and testing the system prototype.

The result of this research is a design and performance test results of vent processor’s prototype. The test results show that the system efficiency is 42.17% and the system work more effective in low temperature.

The experiment results show that this system is environmentally friendly and quite effective to reduce losses because of gasoline evaporation at gas stations. With this research, there’s a hope that this vent processor can be developed further until it became applicable in gas stations in Indonesia so the problems in gas stations can be minimalized.
