In order to reduce the effects of global warming this geopolymer technology could reduce CO2 emissions in the atmosphere caused by the cement industry up to 80%. As a substitute for cement flyash is typically used. In the case of this study, will be made based geopolymer concrete cikembar zeolite Sukabumi. Zeolite itself does not have a strong binding ability as well as Portland cement. So as aktivatornya in making concrete, used an alkaline liquid that is a mixture of sodium hydroxide solution (NaOH + H2O) with sodium silicate (SiO2). The results obtained zeolite mineral composition indicate that zeolite can be classified into classes of mineral N of ASTM C 618. The strength of GZ only reached 23.6 MP, while GF reaches 74 MPa for room temperature curing, and 94 MPa for the curing oven. It because zeolite does not react fully with the alkaline activator because the crystalline phase in zeolite is too much which make zeolite becomes unreactive. The polymerization process does not take place simultaneously. In addition the influence of the ratio of Si / Al is also very thick, GF with a ratio Si / Al < 2 given strength between 40-94 MPa while the GZ with a ratio Si / Al > 2 given strength less than 40 MPa. <br /> <br /> <br /> Low compressive strength was also supported by the weight of the contents of GF data> GZ contents Serious though the overall weight of the concrete is standard SNI, ACI and the Humanities that the apparent density> 2000 kg/m3. Other data supporting the value of porosity and water absorption GZ greater than GF. <br /> <br /> <br /> Zeolte thus not feasible to use flyash as a substitute or substitutes for geopolymer cement concrete as a whole to normal, but the strong value press <30 MPa shows the zeolite can be used for substitution of non-structural materials such as walls coating and brick-making raw materials. <br /> <br /> <br /> However, due to the large potential of zeolite as a source of silica is necessary to study more about the process of zeolite activation of both physics and chemistry to obtain the amorphous zeolite with low Si / Al ratio and more active.
