Summary: | Batang Anai river flow trough four administrative region in West Sumatera Province, one of them is Padang Pariaman Regency. Besides gives many benefits to human living this river also causes flood problem. This problem especially occur in Batang Anai District, downstream area of Batang Anai river. Based on rainfall data analysis, flood discharge with 25-years return period Q25 is 1743,94 m3/s whereas river bank full capacity only 1340,5 m3/s, it cause flood with volume of flood about 4.961.628 m3. levee and flood control reservoir. Selection for alternative proposal of floods control is evaluated based on two aspect; engineering aspect by simulation of <br />

hydraulic performance by assist of mathematic model HEC-RAS and economic aspect by benefit-cost ratio method. Based on that evaluation, buliding of flood dyke is the best alternative. This alternatif refer to engineering aspect is totally solve flood problem and refer to economic aspect have benefit-cost ratio value about 1,05. For long period of time, flood control reservoir was proposed as flood control alternative due to it’s capability to control flood up to flood discharge with 100-years return period. Flood control simulation with this alternative can decrease flood discharge become 1073,43 m3/s. Besides as floods control, reservoir can be designed for multipurpose function. |
