For military helicopter pilot, helmet is one of the most important equipment. Besides protecting the pilot from the impact of hard objects, helmet also serves as a communication tool and a attenuator. The working environment is very noisy require pilots to use helmet to protect from the annoying noise. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Atang Sendjaja, Bogor is one of the air base's Indonesian Air Force military helicopter that overshadow the NAS 332 Super Puma and NAS 330 Super Puma. The military helicopter pilot at the air base was used helmet MSA Gallet LH-250 in executing each flight mission. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The level of knowledge on the pilot helmet, comfort, and the effectiveness of helmets is important to be studied. It aims to get a description of the condition of helmet used by the pilot. This description is important as a first step to develop a kind of helmet on their own. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In this Final Project will be explained how the pilot's perception of the helmet, including pilot knowledge, comfort, and effectiveness of helmet based on pilot experience itself. In addition, in this Final Project also explain whether the helmet MSA Gallet LH-250 were optimal use by the pilot. The results of this study is expected to be a useful data base for the development of self-similar helmet, so that the Indonesian Air Force is no longer dependent on foreign-made helmet.
