Summary: | Economics growth in Indonesia has been increasing ownership of private vehicle, especially motorcycles. Growth of motorcycle effects intersection performances. Many models have been developing to analyzing signalized intersection performances, like MKJI and Webster. However, MKJI and Webster cannot analyze delay of saturated signalized intersection. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyzing signalized intersection performances on saturated flow condition using micro simulation model. Besides it, this research studied about effects of high proportion motorcycles on intersection delay. First step of the research is modeling existing condition of signalized intersection in Bandung. T-test used to analysis validity of micro simulation model in 5 percent accuration. Traffic flow and stopped vehicles are used as parameter to measure the validity of micro simulation model. After that, micro simulation model is used to analyzing effect of high proportion motorcycles in intersection delay. Simulation result that average delay has increase when increasing of proportion motorcycles. Besides it, research has simulated three scenarios such as advanced of stop line for motorcycles, exclusive lanes for motorcycles, and early green for motorcycles to increasing performance of saturated intersection using micro simulation model. Research finding that advanced of stop line for motorcycles has reducing average delay of intersection. |
