the rapid advancement of technology. The technology innovation that still has a good prospect for entrepreneurs is the implementation of e-business. But in fact, a lot of enterprises could not take advantage, even failed to adopt these type of innovation. Therefore, they need a prior knowledge, where enterprises can find out whether the company is ready or not to implement e-business. <br />

The prior knowledge that can be referred to this context is the assessment in ebusiness implementation. Therefore the focus of this research identifies the variables that affect the implementation of e-business. Furthermore, the variables that have been identified are used as assessment tool builders on the implementation of e-business. So the next focus is to develop an assessment <br />
<br />
<br />
mechanism of e-business implementation phase that can classify and predict enterprises, SMEs in particular, at the level of the type of e-business where they are located. <br />
<br />
<br />
This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to the owner/management of SMEs that having a location in Bandung, Jakarta and surrounding areas. SME research respondents are SMEs that already and that has not connected the internet. After the data is obtained, the processing performed by ordinal regression method and artificial neural network with back propagation method. <br />

Besides the mechanism of assessment of e-business implementation phase, the main results obtained from this study are the classification model in the adoption <br />
<br />
<br />
of e-business and applications of simulation in predicting new data. <br />
<br />
<br />
Those variables that affect the variable adoption of e-business include technology, human resources, owner, process, government support, the readiness of partners <br />
<br />
<br />
and market pressures. The result obtained with ordinal regression has 67.3% accuracy. On the other side, the method of artificial neural networks with back <br />
<br />
<br />
propagation has 100 % accuracy of the training data and 86% accuracy of the testing data. |
