Various methods have been researched to enhance the performance of solar distillation system, including at Laboratorium Surya which are ever done by Dadang M. Kholik [6] and I Ketut Juli Ariawan [7]. The combination between fin and tube heat exchanger is never done yet. Therefore, the investigation for the impact of the use of fin and tube heat exchanger on solar distillation system needs to be researched. <br /> <br /> <br /> Study of the use fin and tube heat exchanger by testing has been done. The object of testing done on this final project is to investigate the characteristics of fin and tube heat exchanger before being integrated with solar distillation system. The testing is done by placing heat exchanger in the vessel which contains water. Vapor is then flowed to the heat exchanger. Water from faucet flowing through <br /> <br /> <br /> the surface of radiator is used as cooling medium. Heat exchanger is tested to investigate whether it is proper to be integrated with solar distillation system at our Laboratorium Surya or not. <br /> <br /> <br /> On this final project, data which are obtained from the test are analyzed to investigate the function of heat exchanger. Analysis result shows that fin and tube heat exchanger is proper to be integrated with solar distillation system. This could be investigated by analyzing the quantity of produced distillate. It could be <br /> <br /> <br /> concluded that fin and tube heat exchanger is proper to be integrated with solar distillation system. text
