Research on this final project including design, manufacturing and testing of wind turbine. The type of wind turbine on this final project is horizontal axis <br />
<br />
<br />
wind turbine six blades diameter of two meters downwind type by using NACA 2410 profiles. These turbines are designed and manufactured for use in environments suitable for Indonesian country. From the test results obtained maximum power of 36 watts is achieved at wind speed 8,2 m/s, starting windspeed at wind speed 2,2 m/s and cut-in speed at wind speed 4,2 m/s. Phenomena of unbalance starts at wind speed 6,5 m/s. The low performance of wind turbine test results caused by the characteristics of the rotor is not in accordance with the characteristics of the generator, a simplified form of blades, pitch angle magnitude is not appropriate calculations, the wind direction is erratic, and the process of making wind turbine less than optimal. |
