Description
Summary:The research area is located in Batulicin-Kayu Aro Area, Batang Asai District, Sarolangun Regency, Jambi Province with area 12 km2. This area belongs to PT. Aneka Tambang, Tbk. Geomorphology, geology, and alteration mapping

activities for knowing geological setting, alteration, and mineralisation type in research area. Morphology in this research area are Hills Complex with Bujang Mountain in south, elevation about 900-2000 m above sea level, and has steep contour. Lithology in this area are consist of pyroclastic breccia, andesite lava, dacite lava, tuff, diorite intrusion, and dacite intrusion. Structural geology in this area are slip fault that cut through all litology because deformation in Early Miocene - Late Miocene. Hydrothermal alteration in this area have low until high intesity with alteration zone are Biotite-Magnetite±K-Feldpsar Zone and Epidote-Chlorite-Quartz±Magnetite Zone with occurence of magnetite-chlorite vein, quartz-magnetite

vein, quartz-pyrite-chlorite±epidote vein, sugary granular quarzt vein, and quartz comb-sulphide vein with K-feldspar halo. Sericite-Quartz-Paragonite±Chlorite ±Pyrophyllite Zone and Halloysite-Monmorilonite-Quartz±Siderite±Kaolinite Zone with occurence of quartz-pyrite±iron oxide vein with sericite halo and quartz combpyrite± iron oxide vein with sericite halo. Mineralization around diorite intrusion such as chalcopyrite, bornite, pyrite, and iron oxide are indicating porphyry Cu-Mo deposit. Occurance of gold (Au) in this area is associated with Cu-bearing minerals.
