GMF Aeroasia and its analysis. In this improvement progress, GMF work together with an engineering consultant called Global Technical Support (GTS). This progress heads to improve quality of CFM56-3 engine maintenance progress which could bring to better engine performance. The engine maintenance improvement progress consists of three main progresses. The progresses are dimensional inspection progress, production progress, and assembly progress. All of that progresses is executed at engine core part only. The dimension inspection progress use high precision measuring tools called Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). The improvements at this progress are precision improvement of measuring tools and improvement of part condition when measuring progress. The result of measuring progress is value of clearance, and it becomes raw material of analysis progress. In production progress, there is new method which is suggested by consultant. That new method is HPT shroud lobe grind. Whereas, in assembly progress, utilizing of proper maintenance tools becomes focus for analysis progress. This improvement progress technically could improve CFM56-3 engine performance significantly. After this improvement progress, CFM56-3 ESN 858682 and ESN 858659 as research object, is proved get better performance. text
