Description
Summary:Combustion characteristics for premixed methane air, propaneair and acethylene-air as a functions of equivalence ratio are evaluated analytically and for acethylene-air is also investigated experimentally. The combustion characteristics are flame temperature and laminar flame speeds. The range of equivalence ratio is between 0.8 and 1.2. The analytical and experimental approach are based on the concept of 1-D flame propagation. In the analytical approach, a one-step reaction model is used to solve the chemical reaction problem in adiabatic and nonadiabatic systems. In the experimental investigation of effect of equivalence ratio on combustion characteristic use a flat flame burner with non-adiabatic system. Result of the analytical approach for premixed methane-air and propane-air is closed to the result of Maaren 's experiment9. Combustion characteristic for premixed acethylene-air that is non-adiabatic system, analytical approach has same trend to the experimental result that using flat flame burner.
