| Summary: | Indonesia is a developing country where the utilisation of train transportation is lagging behind those of the developed countries. This research presents an innovation which is implemented in the railways transportation system of PT.Kereta Api (Persero) as one of the effort to increase interest of the people to use railways transportation in Indonesia. The innovation is about a web portal application which contains all kind of train services such as ordering meals through mobile handheld devices utilizing WLAN or Bluetooth technology. A networking system has been designed to connect between passenger car and restoration car through communication hardware called Soekris Net5501 and Linksys WRT54GL with certain limitations as stated in this research. Finally, the reliability and capabillity of this system will be measured and reported in this research. |
