Description
Summary:Before the formation of Geospatial Information Act (IG Act), in Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) on Hydrographic Survey and Base Map Coastal Environment of Indonesia, has been established the definition of the coastline and certain ocean that are used to determine the shoreline, but different from IG Act. In this Final will be the influence of ocean tides and beach slope in determining the level of significance in his portrayal of coastline on the basic map.

Research areas in this final are: Batam, Benoa and Tarakan. The data used in this study include: Tidal data taken by Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG), high water and low water data obtained from BIG, Bathymetry Map produced by DISHIDROS TNI-AL, coastal slope data from the Department of Environmental Geology . The methodology used in this final, start of stage literature review, data collection, determination the significance of the coastline, and the analysis of the significance of the coastline.

From the final results of the study it can be concluded that ocean tidal datum difference is directly proportional to the significance level shoreline, while the influence of beach slope is inversely proportional to the significance level shoreline.. For the case of LPI map in all three areas of research, should be re-observation and measurement of tidal shoreline due to differences LPI map shoreline using mean sea level of SNI with LPI map shoreline using the lowest water level by the IG Act included in the category significant.
