Summary: | Nowadays, the most common method applied for maintenance of industrial machinery is the predictive maintenance based on vibration. Several instruments can be used for implementation of the method, such as MSA HP3566A, CSI 2120, Leonova, and data acquisition based on computer. Among of these instruments, data acquisition based on
computer is the one which can be developed by user.
Several attemps to develop vibration analyzer software have been done at Dynamics Laboratory, PAU-IR, ITB. The latest attemp was done in Wardhana’s research [1]. The results of this research is a software capable of performing analysis of vibration signals.

Unfortunately, the software has some limitations. This research is dedicated to overcome these limitation, such as : signal integration, rotational speed record, scoping, vibration level monitoring, numbering data record, and offline data analyzing. LabVIEW 8.5 with addition functions available in SVT (Sound and Vibration Toolkit) 7.3 is used to develop the vibration analyzer software. The software resulted from this development is then being tested to validate its integration results and tested to measure

vibration of turbine-generator unit.

Based on this testing, vibration analyzer software developed in this research is capable of overcoming the limitations of the previously developed software. The testings show that the software capables of performing signal integration with relatively small error and also

capables to measure vibration of a turbine-generator unit during run-up and coast down. |
