Summary:This final project presents a method to predict the electromotive force of axial flux synchronous generator - permanent magnet using the quasi-3D machine model. The analysis is conducted on axial flux generator which has single-sided slotted machine and single-sided coreless machine topology. A technique to reduce n-th harmonic order within open-circuit voltage of generator using a certain arrangement of magnet shape will be explained. Finally, the algoritm to calculate electromotive force in generator is implemented using MATLABTM software.
