On the other hand Indonesia up to now does not have any properly regulation about inspection of vehicle construction strength. <br /> <br /> <br /> This theses focuses in analysis on capacity of bus superstructure’s energy absorption using finite element method in rollover mode. The superstructure’s performance assessed from the view of energy absorption capacity. UN ECE-R66 “Uniform Technical Prescriptions Concerning The <br /> <br /> <br /> Approval of Large Passenger Vehicles With Regard to The Strength of Their Superstructure” used as the standard. The method is by simulation using a body section (part of a superstructure) which loaded statically. The model built using Catia V5R17 and then analysed using Ansys 12. <br /> <br /> <br /> Data from the analysis process shall be presented in [load vs deformation] and [absorbed energy vs deformation] graph. By these graphs it can be determined whether the body section fulfill the regulation or not. Hopefully this method could be taken by the administrator of vehicle <br /> <br /> <br /> inspection as an alternative of rollover test to inspect the strength of vehicle superstructure. text
