Summary:Signal conditioning is a device which plays very important role in any measurement. This device has been widely developed both in industry and research laboratory. However, the latest developed devices generally still have many limitations. Typically, the devices have incomplete feature with a lot of control buttons. This research <br /> <br /> <br /> is dedicated to develop a device that has a complete feature but with only few control buttons. <br /> <br /> <br /> This research deals with the design and manufacture of a signal conditioning device with microcontroller-based control. The device consists of two main parts, namely a signal conditioning circuit and a control circuit. Signal conditioning circuit consists of preconditioning circuits, filters, and amplifiers which plays an important role in various signal conditioning processes. Meanwhile, the control circuit consists of a microcontroller, clock <br /> <br /> <br /> generators, LCD, and push buttons which play very important role in controlling the functions of signal conditioning circuit. With such design, it is expected that the signal <br /> <br /> <br /> conditioning device capable to perform a complete feature only with a few control buttons. <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on the results obtained in this research, it can be concluded that the aim of this research is already accomplished. In general, the test results show that the signal conditioning device has been functioned properly and in accordance with the design criteria. During the testing, the performances of signal conditioning devices are also <br /> <br /> <br /> compared with that of standard instrument. The results show that the performances of this signal conditioning device are quite similar to that of the standard instrument.
