Therefore, zirconia won’t react chemically and biologically with living tissue arround it. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Nanoparticle Yttrium Stabilized Zirconia (YSZ) made by sol-gel methods. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Parameter of this experiment is precursor concentration, stabilizer concentration, and chitosan addition. Concentration of precursor will affect to YSZ particle size. About 3% and 8% yttrium added to stabilize zirconia. Because of yttrium addition, tertragonal structure formed at room temperature. In this experiment, chitosan act as a template. Characterization use X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Secondary Electron Microscopy (SEM). Chitosan addition will make more homogeneous crystal ztructure of zirconia, tetragonal structure. Particle size YSZ measured by SEM. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Sample with precursor concentration 0,1 M and chitosan addition has particle size 56,3 nm.
