Research of Indonesia’s technical facility readiness is done to investigate the readiness of Indonesia to give service of air transport in airspace sector A and C, which is currently under the Singapore’s authority. This Research is executed based on technical data owned by Indonesia for sector A and C. Data sources for the research are Air Navigation Directorate, Air Transport Telecommunications <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Directorate, Air transport Traffic Directorate, Air Carrier Directorate, and Soekarno-Hatta Jakarta International Airport. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This Research begins with data collection of Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance equipments and also other support data such as : SAR ( Search and Rescue) unit, air transport statistic, BOS ( Breakdown Of Separation) rate, and BOC (Breakdown Of Coordination) rate. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Methods applied to determine Indonesia’s technical facility readiness are descriptif - comparative analysis, flight statistical analysis, BOS rate and BOC rate. The research also analyze the cost and benefit of the taking over of the <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> service responsibility in sector A and C by comparing the cost and economic benefit of equipments installation and personnel training required. To determine the feasibility of the investement and the effort is done by calculating Payback period and IRR ( Interest Rate of Return). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This research concludes that based on the technical review, Indonesia is able to give full air traffic services in airspace sector A and C. Cost investment in 2009 is <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> estimated Rp.41.568.500.000,- and the benefit (advantage) is Rp.10.843.893.500,- for the same year. Payback period is estimated in 4 year, with IRR (r) of 14,47 % indicating that the investment is worthy and feasyble.
