In the September 30, 2009 the city of Padang stuck by 7.9 Richter scale Earthquake, over than 100,000 building were damaged due to the earthquake. Therefore remote sensing is needed, nowadays remote sensing technology recognized as a post-earthquake damage identification and assessment tool. The study focuses on post-earthquake damage identification using very high resolution imagery, (IKONOS imagery acquired on October 2, 2009), and applying OBIA (Object Based Image Analysis) as a method for analysis of post-earthquake damage. As the result, the using of the high resolution remote sensing technology can be use to identify damaged building that caused by the earthquake. text |
