The signal given to the bird intent on to disturb its ears (can bother hearing of bird) so the bird will feel uncomfortable and fly far away from the acoustic source. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Bird’s population in In Juanda International Airport, Surabaya, has potency to rise out birdstrike. This is known from the airlines report about existence of birdstrike in that airport. Now in Juanda Airport there is one unit dissipates bird device with acoustic method using predator sound and distress/birds alarm, which is not optimal in application, because its serves wide area and it’s also needs sound database addition for the system. This research explained about making and testing device to dissipate bird with acoustic method, and improvement of device In Juanda International Airport. This research tried to get sounds with sensitive frequency and the minimum sound pressure level to disturb the bird. The experiment carried out at field scale and consists of sound <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> source characteristic experiment and bird respond experiment towards many giving type sound signal (The bird used for this experiment was Egret and Javan Pond-Heron (Kuntul and Blekok)), which had many population in Juanda <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Airport) According to the experiment, it was concluded that bird felt uncomfortable toward sweep logarithmic sound signal at range frequency 5kHz – 9kHz, sound signal with frequency modulation at range frequency 2kHz – 7kHz, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> and combination of predator sound and distress/ birds alarm with minimum sound pressure level at 75 dB.
