Besides that, understanding about <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> physical phenomena in High Lift Device is also part of the analysis. By doing numerical simulation (CFD) using software named FLUENT, the result would be closer to the real condition because FLUENT used Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) equation. This equation is Navier Stokes equation which has been modified (simplified) in order to be solved by numerical simulation and this equation is using the mean value of fluctuation of turbulent flow property. Wing is modeled in CATIA and then meshed in GAMBIT (Geometry And Mesh Builder Intelligent Toolkit), which will be analyzed using FLUENT. The FLUENT results will be validated by Wind Tunnel Test Results. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The goal of this analysis and prediction is doing span flap study, because Wind Tunnel Test Results is only for existing configuration. If the FLUENT results for existing <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> configuration is valid, then prediction for span flap study case can be used as valid data. Wing modeling including the High Lift Device is more accurate than panel method, because FLUENT used Finite Volume Discretization Method, and used RANS equation so the results will be close to the real case. text
