It had length about 3,5 kilometers. There are large numbers of tourism construction was establish such as hotel, restaurant, bungalow as well as cottage. The Coast erosion (especially in west area) was treating the facilities, which has nearby coastline. Seawall, breakwater and groin decorating the beach result in decline of esthetic. The beach had white sand and magnificent ridge of rock. The purpose of this study is to stabilize the shoreline against erosion problem and known of sedimentation movement (long shore or cross shore) and suggesting a management concept to protect the facilities and infrastructure in coast area it is road, tourism building and local economy without creating negative impact for adjacent beaches. The analysis performed within this research are tides fluctuation analysis to estimates design elevation guidance, wave forecasting using series of wind data in five years (1996-2000) from Meteorology and Geophysics Ngurah Rai Denpasar to examine predicted wave heights and periods, and finally analysis of shoreline change using GENESIS software and SBEACH. From result of analysis could be determined of shoreline change in west region (still natural) with 300 meters in length there is occurred backward about 11 meters in 5 years and sedimentation direction is cross shore. The management process carried out by any several alternatives such as breakwater, seawall and beach fill in 2.400 meters in distance, and also recommendations needed to treat Candidasa beach in comprehensively. text |
