It needs long term strategy to face it PT. Pos Indonesia as one of State Owned Enterprise in Indonesia is affected by strategic conditions above. As national post service provider that directed to be profit oriented, PT. Pos ndonesia face high demand growth and head to head directly with global enterprise that act locally and grow their market share. So, re-thinking in strategic planning become important to reach corporate vision and mision. There are some analysis have done to develop the strategy for PT. Pos Indonesia such as external environment factor, industrial structure, and internal environment to define the opportunities, threath, steng, and weakness. General Electric Matrix used to help in reaching a better understanding of the competitive position of the overall portfolio of business to develop priorities for resource allocation. To use the low cost competitiveness, cost leadership strategy is recommended to be corporate generic strategy and diversification strategy as growth strategy to increase the utilisation of core competence.
