In other hand, VARTM method can produce high quality product which resemble the product of auto clave method in production cost of hand layup. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In this final project VARTM tools was made to produce composite material. Based on Darcy’s law, VARTM method was affected by viscosity of resin, permeability of fiber, and pressure gradient. By keeping the resin viscosity and pressure gradient in constant along the experiment, the effect of fiber permeability toward resin spreading can be analyzed. The effect of fiber permeability was analyzed by varying the angle of woven fabrics and the fiber thickness, then observe their effect toward resin velocity along 70 cm x 7.5 cm mold. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on experiment result which have been done, angle variation obtain small different in resin flow velocity, which is about 5 – 20 seconds per 10 cm. In the other hand, thickness variation gives more significant difference in resin flow velocity. In 10 layers thickness obtained about 36 – 435 second per 10 cm. And for 15 layers thickness obtained about 25 – 591 second per 10 cm. This was <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> caused by permeability difference in different thickness. text
