In this final project we record the contact between wheels and rails using digital camera video.This was done in order to retrieve lateral displacement datas between rails and wheels. And beside that, GPS was also used to record train course. This course is essential to analyze wheels snake motion in straight or not course. Because this contact between rails and wheels is important, in this final project I will also learn the possibility to measure lateral displacement between wheels and rails. To measure lateral displacement between wheels and rails, digital image processing is applaid. Image segmentation with edge detection used to measure distance between wheels dan rails. The result of image processing with edge detection then displaid in the windows form of GUI (Graphical User Interface) text
