RELOCATION AND PRODUCTION INCREASE PLAN TO REDUCE LOST SALES AT PT. SELAMAT PRAMA ARTA

PT. Selamat Prama Arta is a tea sortation company located at Jalan Cibaduyut, Bandung. This company is having a problem related with production capacity shortage which caused lost sales. To find root causes from company's problem, current reality tree was used and six root causes emerge. However, only four root causes were selected to be analyzed further, which is: funding problem, company's main production location, no layout planning, and no capacity planning. Through this study, business solutions for each root cause were proposed. Solution for company's main production location is relocation to less populated area. Benchmark to selected company was done to build more efficient location. Next, capacity planning based on demand projection for ten years. Last but not least is to sell company's secondary location at Jalan raya Katapang and to get a cash loan from Bank Mandiri. Solutions for each root cause is summarized to create a relocation project. In this project, two alternatives was proposed: one shift system and two shift system. Feasibility study for this project was done with discounted cash flow method which resulted a positif calculation. This project is considered feasible to do. DCF and IRR for one shift <br /> <br /> <br /> system are Rp 3.075.063.000 - 4.36% (Optimist) dan Rp 831.466.000 - 1,31% (Pesimist) and DCF and IRR for two shift system are Rp 7.154.344.000 – 12,45% (Optimist) and Rp 4.673.946.000 – 9.04% (Pesimist).
