Because so many people especially those who live in Bandung still regard cake & bakery as a promising industry. The increasing in demand of cake <br /> & bakery creates a great competition inside, while it has to sell its product with the usual price. This is a great obstacle. Because of the continuous increasing material prices in cake & bakery while its margin is forced unto the lowest price, makes so many companies in this industry have to create new strategies to keep their companies on. One of the oldest company in industry, Mirasa realizes the competition inside is <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> thightened more and more. And it also realizes that the company keep on going at the same level of industry since the first time it was made. That is why a significant change needs to be done. And the change is about its operation. In order to get a better operational system, reducing wastes at the shoop floor needs to be done as soon as possible. That is why a concept of Lean Manufacturing using tool Value Stream Mapping (VSM) needs to be implemented at Mirasa soon. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> VSM consists of three stages. The first stage is deal with mapping the real condition using Current State Map. The second one is to identify seven wastes at the shoop <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> floor using the Current State Map before in order to eliminate non-value added activities while the value added one can be increased. Having analyzed wastes <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> happened, then the last stage of VSM is to make an improvement map which is called as Future State Map. The implementation of Future State Map at the shoop floor, can be done with Kaizen Blitz that hoped will increase value added activities for the company.
